Lina Lumme – Inspiring Force

Lina Lumme has been an inspiring force in community service since immigrating to America in 2003. As the Executive Director/CEO of The Youth Center since 2010, her leadership has driven significant growth and impact in local youth programs. A proud member of the Fieldstone Leadership Network, Lina has earned certificates in Volunteer Management, Executive Directors Leadership, and Nonprofit Management.

Her board service spans numerous esteemed organizations, including the Precious Life Shelter and the Los Alamitos Education Foundation. Notably, she was named Rotarian of the Year in 2018, reflecting her deep commitment to service and leadership within Rotary.

Lina’s contributions have not gone unnoticed; she has received multiple accolades, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from NPDOC in 2010 and recognition as Woman of the Year by the California State Assembly in 2022.

Outside of her impactful work, Lina enjoys traveling the world and exploring new cultures with locals. Her guilty pleasures? Olives, pistachios, and a good glass of red wine. She shares her life with her husband, Hans, a Special Education Teacher at Marshall Academy of the Arts in LBUSD. Proud mom to Daniel, a 12-year-old Oak Middle School student, and Cassandra, a 21-year-old Cypress College student, Lina continues to inspire others with her passion and dedication.
