Annual Cypress Spaghetti Feed
The Cypress Rotary Club hosted its 33st annual “All You Can Eat Spaghetti Dinner” on Saturday, March 4th at the Cypress Senior Center.
All who attended enjoyed as much of the Rotary Club’s famous spaghetti & original (secret) recipe sauce, garden salad, and garlic bread as they could eat in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere with great company. It’s always great to have good times with family and friends.
The Cypress High School Interact Club members volunteered and helped the event run smoothly.
The Cypress Rotary Club was also assisted this year by the Cypress Kiwanis Club and Los Alamitos / Seal Beach Rotary Club. The added volunteers from these great clubs help to cook, serve and clean up during the event. It was a great volunteer community effort.
The Spaghetti Feed event started 33 years ago as a fund raiser for the two senior clubs at the Cypress Senior Center. Since then, the event has grown to help raise funds for schools, scouts, and non-profits in in Cypress and the surrounding area including: Champion Baseball, Precious Life, The Youth Center, Cypress School District PTAs, and local Cub Scout troops.
The dinner serves between 300 – 500 meals during the three-hour event.
Tickets for the event are printed by the Rotary Club and given to local non profits to sell and keep the proceeds. All the food and supplies are provided by the Cypress Rotary Club. This creates a win-win-win for the non-profits, the community, and the Club.
